Kenneth Grapperhaus - Business
Ken Grapperhaus attended St. Paul High School from 1984 until its close in 1986. He then attended Highland High School, graduating in 1988. Ken attended Illinois State University, graduating Valedictorian in 1993. He also received the Robert G. Bone Scholar Award in Accounting from ISU, and the Elijah Watts Sells Award for the highest score on the May 1993 CPA Exam. (Approximately 66,000 individuals took the exam.) Besides being a Certified Public Accountant, Ken is also a Certified Management Accountant.

Upon graduation from ISU, Ken went to work for KMPG auditing firm in St Louis. He is now a partner in the firm, with over 25 years of experience in audit services. Ken works with companies of all sizes ranging from $300 million to $25 billion in annual revenue. Ken has provided audit services to several large multinational companies in accordance with PCAOB requirements and U.S. GAAP. His audit experience includes SEC filings, including initial public offerings and complex capital transactions, and audits related to acquisitions and divestitures.

Ken has served as the global lead partner for several complex multinational audits for clients in industrial, commercial, and consumer markets. He has significant experience coordinating with management at the corporate headquarters and with KPMG teams around the world. Through these experiences, Ken has developed an extensive network throughout KPMG’s global network, including Europe and Asia.

Ken also has deep technical knowledge in the areas of accounting, auditing, and SEC filing matters from the following experiences: — Serving as an SEC Reviewing Partner, with a primary focus on large multinational SEC registrants. — Served a three-year rotation in KPMG's Department of Professional Practice in New York, where he provided technical support to approximately 110 domestic and numerous international operating offices in addressing and resolving complex accounting, auditing, financial reporting and SEC related issues. — Served as a National Instructor, where he provided updates to KPMG professionals on a variety of accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and SEC related topics. — Developed and updated content for KPMG's web-based accounting research tool. — Supported various audit quality and technology initiatives.

Ken is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Management Accountants. Additionally, Ken serves on the Advisory Board and Finance Committee for the Salvation Army in St. Louis. He has also served on the Judevine Center for Autism Board.
